What is it? A custom grill for making “sliders,” i.e. small hamburgers.
This product consists of a five-section grill pan, along with a corresponding upper piece that serves to cook small hamburgers from both the bottom and the top at the same time. It is intended to be used on a stovetop, at medium heat.
To use the product, portions of raw hamburger (seasoned as desired) are measured out by means of the included scoop. Five portions are then placed in the grill sections and the top grilling piece is used to “press” all five pieces of meat down at the same time, both forming them to the proper flat, round shape, as well as serving as an upper source of heat – i.e. cooking the small burgers on both sides at the same time without the need to flip them.
The product’s instructions note an average cooking time of 2-4 minutes. In our evaluation we cooked ours for 3.5 minutes, and they came out thoroughly cooked. Obviously depending on the quality of ground beef you use, the amount of grease produced, shrinkage, etc. will vary.
The product also comes with a recipe book that lists many other uses for the product other than just for making hamburgers, such as egg sandwiches.
We observed this product to work as advertised.
