What is it? An exercise DVD.
This workout DVD is professionally produced and hosted and narrated by Denise Austin, who has been promoting fitness for over 25 years. The DVD is organized into four modules. The first module is called Yoga Burn, which lasts 20 minutes and combines yoga moves executed at an aerobic pace. The second module is called Yoga Legs, which is 10 minutes long, focusing on balance, flexibility, and strength. The third module is called Yoga Abs, which is 10 minutes long, which uses yoga moves and positions to target the abdominal region of the torso. The fourth module is an additional 10 minutes called Yoga Relax, which features stretches intended to relax and rejuvenate the body.
We observed that the program appeared to be more geared toward an intermediately-skilled person who is somewhat familiar with yoga, although a beginner could presumably pick up on the various moves and routines with a little practice and patience. The ancient art of yoga can be a demanding discipline, and should be respected as such. But anyone can apply its methodology to promote their own physical fitness, as this DVD aptly demonstrates.
A distinct advantage of a program like this is the ability for you to self-pace. It isn’t required to perform all 50 minutes worth of yoga exercise at one time, especially certainly not when first starting out or for a beginner. The different modules can be applied as needed, as well as alternated within a personal exercise regimen.
Programs like this also are highly economical, with no expensive gym memberships or sweaty equipment to have to deal with. All one really needs is an open space to workout, a TV, and a DVD player, and then you can work out to your heart’s content, all in the privacy of your own home.
