What is it? A mixer and child’s drinking cup combined.
This whimsical product allows a child (or grownup still young at heart) to make chocolate milk or other mixed beverages and drink them all from the same container.
Its two AA batteries (not included) are easily installed in the base unit. The glass (actually plastic) portion detaches from the base for cleaning, as does the little black coin-shaped (about the size of a quarter) paddle on the base that also does the mixing. The product also comes with a “sippy cup” lid to prevent sloshing.
The product was observed to be very easy to use. Just fill it with milk or water, and add whatever you’d like to mix into it, e.g. chocolate syrup, lemonade mix, etc. Just grab the handle and depress the button and it mixes. When thoroughly mixed, enjoy. It’s just that simple.
The product’s instructions caution that it does not crush ice. So for cold drinks, like lemonade, ice would need to be added after mixing.
The coin-sized plastic paddle that does the mixing can produce a strong vortex of swirl for milk (as shown in our video) as well as water. But please note that the little battery-powered motor is not a commercial blender, and it therefore has understandable limits on how thick of a mix it can handle. We wouldn’t recommend you try to mix anything like overly thick shakes with ice cream or adding fruit expecting a “smoothie” outcome. Stick to simple liquids and powders.
A product like this is sure to be a lot of fun to use, but we suggest that when using it with small children that it only be used with adult supervision. Otherwise, we observed this product to work as advertised.
