 What is it? A craft tool for making decorative bows.
This product effectively serves as another pair of hands to make the process of creating very decorative bows fast and easy. We found the instructions easy to follow, and with a little practice, a simple process to produce nice looking bows for any occasion.
The kit primarily consists of the base stand and tamping tool (see video). A trip to Michaels or other linen and craft store allows you to pick out any style and color of ribbons to work with.
The process of making a bow begins with the decorative wire included in the kit (see video). The wire is placed into the base unit first, whereupon your choice of ribbon is arranged on top of it according to the design of the ribbon you’re making. Making loops is a function of folding the ribbon over, then twisting the ribbon where it passes over the slot in the base unit and pushing the twist down to be held in place while the next loop is made. When all the loops have been made, the tamping tool is used to push all the center twists together. Then, the wire that started the whole process is used to tie all the loops together in the middle. From there, the user arranges the loops as desired, and voila, a beautiful bow.
This product is very fun and easy to use, and would also be appropriate for children to work with parents on a family craft project, especially on occasions when bows are needed—e.g. holidays, weddings, birthdays, or any other special celebrations.
